CATALYST DEVELOPMENTAL TOUR
We started Catalyst Junior Tour based on the need for Junior Golfers to have community and consistency. It’s our goal to have consistent opportunities to play with and against friends. We want to create an environment where they look forward to having fun, being challenged, and competing.
CATALYST CUP SERIES
Catalyst Cup is a summer and fall league. The format is an Individual Modified Stableford Scoring System. The player in each division with the most points will win the cup.
Eagle. - 8 Pts
Birdie - 4 Pts
Par - 2 Pts
Bogey - 1 Pt
The Catalyst Cup League will be held on the Riverside Golf Links - Executive Course. The course will be scaled to your division.
WHY SCALE THE COURSE?
Junior enjoy golf more when they have a fair chance to succeed. Making a new or young golfer play a course that’s too long not only hurts their score, it can also discourage them from wanting to come back, and prevent them from loving the game. We scale each golf hole to a distance fair for kids to play, allowing opportunities to make legislate birdies and pars for every player. The ability to score well early has a cognitive component increasing enjoyment and confidence in both short term and long term development. Many top players on professional tours acknowledge that the ability to score well as Junior players on a scaled course gave them the mindset to continue to do so as they started to play longer courses.
ARE CADDIES ALLOWED?
Caddies are mandatory in the 4th and 5th grade division. Caddies are allowed in the 6th and 7th grade division.
A “Caddie” is one who assists the player in accordance with the rules, which includes carrying or handling the players clubs during play.

RAINOUTS AND INCLEMENT WEATHER

Wherever you are on the course, mark your ball, and if allowed we will try to finish play. If the event is shortened due to rain there will be now refunds.
USGA Rules will govern all play. If the group can not establish a ruling and there is no rules official nearby, we ask you to play two balls and a ruling will be administered in the scoring area.
